These little fellas are Afghans. My best friend from school, Nicky, lived with her Grandma who, had the most fantastic little store room piled high with plastic ice cream containers. In these containers were the best biscuits and cakes you ever tasted (especially when you had just got home from school and were starving).

Afghans were one of her recipes and they are so easy to make. They only have one draw back ... they only last about 2 hours!!! Especially with 7 people in the house {lol}.

I left school in 1980 and unfortunately Gag (I know, weird name, but that's what everyone called her) has since died but I'm very pleased to say, even though Nicky & I live 300 miles apart, we still keep in touch.

OK I've finally cracked *lol*!!! On the way to the post office from work this morning, I drove along the seafront, parked in the Zoo car park, hopped over the road (through the flower bed) and stood in front of 2 bemuzed ladies (waiting for a bus) and took this photo. All, may I add, in the rain!!! Beat that if you can ROFLOL!!!

This is the only garland I could find! It stays in the drawer in the front room until it is someones birthday when it's carefully unfolded and stuck on the wall with blu-tac :O) It simply reads 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY'

My Grandmother gave it to me a few months before she died and I treasure it. She gave me this with some gorgeous old photos of Eliza & her husband James.

This photo was taken by Gemma today at Blackgang Chine. I think they are supposed to be barnacles stuck to a whale and I know they aren't really bugs, but if I were the whale they would sure bug me {lol} This is the only other bug I could find. It's the bottom of my daughters lamp. His name is Heimlick {sp?} he's from the film 'A Bug's Life'.
